The Issues
Clean Air and Water
Doylestown deserves a clean and healthy environment. Dan started his work on the township’s environment even before he was elected as an associate member of the Environmental Advisory Council. Dan voted for the Ready for 100 policy which aims to have the township’s operation use 100% renewable resources by 2050. Dan voted for a ban on plastic bags and worked to reduce paper bag fees to reduce any financial hardships.
Dan and Christina will continue working towards this goal by investing in energy efficient buildings, gradually transitioning the township to electric vehicles and choosing renewable energy sources. They will work with Bucks County officials to track PFAS in our water and mitigate it. They aren’t just talking the talk. They’re leading by example by planting new trees in our parks and cleaning up our roads because they believe protecting the environment takes policy and hands on action.

Parks
Central Park is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and Dan and Christina have grown up alongside the park. With Kid’s Castle and our Summer Concert series, Central Park has become a destination venue for neighbors across the central Bucks area.
Dan has supported a series of renovations for the parks to last another 30 years for future generations, like Dan’s son and Christina’s daughters. The new Community Recreation Center will allow our award winning parks department to host new activities for all ages, from cooking classes to volleyball to mahjong and everything in between. The brand new courts will provide more space for tennis, basketball and pickleball. And maybe most importantly, Dan proudly voted for the construction of long overdue bathrooms by Kid’s Castle.
Dan and Christina will continue to support our parks because they are essential to the community.
Bike and Hike Trails
Dan and Christina are both bike riders who appreciate the wonderful system of Bike and Hike trails across Doylestown and into our neighboring towns. Dan was in 4th grade at Kutz Elementary when the first trail section was put down in front of the school in 1996, and he has followed the trails ever since. Dan supported the creation of the new Shady Retreat trail and the upcoming New Britain Road trail heading into Doylestown Borough, using various outside grants to fund construction. He also launched a trail maintenance program, using his own experience riding the trails to direct repairs.
Dan and Christina see our trails as a unique asset for safe recreation and travel throughout our region and will continue to support the Bike and Hike system.

Affordable Housing
Housing prices across the country have sky-rocketed out of control, and Doylestown is no exception. Too often, Dan and Christina hear from people who grew up in Doylestown and want to move back to be near their parents and start their own families, but it’s simply too expensive. Meanwhile, more residents are seeking multi-generational housing so they can take care of family members that need assistance.
Through a thorough review of our zoning laws, careful planning with upcoming construction projects, and coordination with neighboring municipalities and Bucks County, Dan and Christina want to increase housing options for all generations while preserving the charm and character of Doylestown.
Fire and Ambulance Services
Across Pennsylvania, volunteer fire and ambulance services are struggling to maintain service. In Doylestown, volunteer recruitment and funding shortfalls present a major challenge. Dan and Christina are already working on solutions. Dan has been speaking and working with our local fire and ambulance, and Christina is supporting the Finance Committee in researching solutions. They will work with state legislators and neighboring municipalities to support these services that are vital to the safety and security of our residents.
Police
Dan and Christina envision a police department that is focused on community policing to best serve our residents. Dan has worked with the chief of police to implement policies that saw the Doylestown police department reach state accreditation. Dan supported working with Bucks County to provide our police with social worker co-responders to help with incidents our police aren’t trained to regularly deal with, such as domestic disputes and people in mental health crises. Together, Dan and Christina they want to create a police department that leads the way on a new generation of policing.
Common Sense Budgets
Dan and Christina will fight for budgets that support the values that matter to Doylestown residents. Dan has voted for bipartisan budgets that support our police, repaved over 40 miles of roads and invested in the future of our renowned parks. Christina serves on the township’s Finance Committee, using her professional experience to guide the township and protect the financial well being of the township. Together, Dan and Christina are dedicated to investing in the future of Doylestown while spending responsibly.
Pension Reform
When Dan joined the Board of Supervisors in 2019, the pensions for township staff and police were underfunded and in bad shape. To stop the consistent drain on the township budget, Dan passed policies that not only funded the pensions, but will also save the township an estimated 2 million dollars.
With Christina’s financial expertise on the board, Dan and Christina will keep our pension on track and saving money.
Roads
In the mid-90’s, the Board of Supervisors at the time decided the best way to fix our roads was to tar and chip miles of it and call it a day. Dan still has the scars on his knees from that rocky solution. By 2019, Doylestown’s roads were in dire need of repair. As liaison to the roads department, Dan led an overhaul of how our roads were managed and integrated digital analysis of the condition of our roads.
Since Dan joined the board of supervisors, over 40 miles of roads in Doylestown have been repaved.
Dan and Christina will not compromise or cut corners when it comes to our roads, as maintaining them is one of the fundamental responsibilities of our local government.

Water and Sewer
Before being elected to the Board of Supervisors, Dan was a member of the Public Water and Sewer Advisory Board. As a member and as a supervisor, Dan has helped guide the plans for future water and sewer expansion in Doylestown.
Sewers are rarely a pleasant conversation because of the cost involved. Dan and Christina are dedicated to making sure residents are part of the discussion and are kept informed as much as possible about sewer expansion plans so they can make the decisions best for their homes. Dan and Christina are not interested in forcing sewers on residents and want to work with them to identify needs and solutions that work for their neighborhoods.
Dan and Christina will continue to work with the Doylestown Township Municipal Authority to extend public water access through the township and will keep our water sources clean and drinkable.
